But 8 minutes is till too much... I think that OO tries to load the file completely into memory. I have tried an equivalent file with PowerPoint and it seems that it doesn't load the entire file, it loads different parts of the file as they are needed. I attach two examples: 1) First one: 200 slides and takes 2 minutes and a half 2) Second one: 1000 slides and takes 10 minutes Machine is a core 2 duo 2'16 Ghz with 2GB RAM.
