[graphics-issues] [Issue 105620] subscript moves baseline of characters with fixed line spacing set
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=105620 --- Additional comments from ft...@openoffice.org Wed Oct 7 12:30:17 + 2009 --- I am using OOo as packaged with ubuntu 9.04, i.e. OpenOffice 3.0.1 OOO300m15 (Build: 9379) openoffice.org-core 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3.1 The attached screenshot not only shows the Format Paragraph dialog, but also illustrates the issue perfectly. With the default single line spacing, text under the subscript pushes downwards. With the fixed line spacing, all text remains at the same height, yet the line containing the subscript is pushed upward. In both cases, we face ugly typesetting. Expected behaviour: the subscript should not change the baseline of the line containing the subscript. This is the way it works in Writer. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The property fixed does not exist in the version, which you can download from download.openoffice.org. I see from your screenshot, that the property fixed does not work as it should. You are right, it is a bug. But you have to report it to Ubuntu. We cannot fix it here. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Line spacing: Format - Paragraph Indents Spacing tab, Line spacing setting: set to Fixed and specify a number for the spacing. With fixed, line spacing should remain unchanged, even if a subscript is inserted somewhere on a line. In other modes (Single, At least ...) line spacing is adapted automatically to adapt for a sub or superscript. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The problem does not appear with superscripts. To reproduce the problem, * enter a few lines of text in a text box in either Impress or Draw. * Format - Paragraph, set line spacing to e.g. point size of characters + 2 * In one of the lines, enter a subscript - observed behaviour: the line of text is shifted up - expected behaviour: the line of text stays in place, subscript moves down. THe current behaviour leads to very ugly typesetting when subscripts are used. There is currently no way to correct that. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
