Have you tried in the meantime with the leased version 3.2 if the problem still
exists there? I still cannot reproduce the problem following to your explicit
descritpion. Thanks for that.

Since your form apparently doesn't ask for as much OS info as you would really
like: G4 running 10.5.8.

Detailed instructions for reproducing error.
double click on open office icon
wait for splash screen to appear
at splash screen click Drawing icon
when window appears, click x to close page summary on left (or whatever that is)
use scroll in bottom right of window to adjust magnification to 100%
format menu -> styles and formatting
two-finger-click on the Default style and select modify from the resulting
contextual menu
click on font tab
set font to Times New Roman normal 14pt
click on area tab
in drop-down menu for fill, select none
click ok
mouse to File menu, down to templates, over to save and select that
select My Templates under categories
call Drawings
click ok
click ok to overwrite existing Drawings template
cmg-w to close file
click to not save changes
cmd-o to open new file
click drawing icon in splash screen
from drawing tools tool bar click and hold on the shape that looks like a
square standing on one corner
from the drop-down menu select the right-triangle icon
draw a right triangle
from drawing tools tool bar click once on the icon that looks like a rectangle
draw a rectangle smaller than the triangle and above its hypotenuse

path 1 (tried in different files not sequentially)
make sure rectangle is still selected or select it by clicking on it
mouse to Modify menu and select Rotate from drop-down
rectangle gets red spots on it
use mouse to click-and-hold on red spot at one corner of rectangle and drag to
rotate

result: corners of rectangle get lopped off as rotation is viewed. click
elsewhere to unselect rectangle -
> corners are still lopped off. the looping rectangle appears to be slightly
> larger than the original
rectangle, but how large is difficult to say clearly.

expected result: rectangle of original size but tilted at some arbitrary angle
- all corners intact

path 2
-make sure rectangle is still selected or select it by clicking on it
-at bottom of screen double click on the section of the status bar that shows a
dotted rectangle, two
numbers separated by /, another dotted rectangle with some stuff I can't
decipher around it, two more
numbers separated by x.
-in the dialog box that appears select the rotation tab
- in the lowest box on the left enter an 30 (I also tried -30 another time with
the same result)

result: as above

path 3
-make sure rectangle is still selected or select it by clicking on it
-with the mouse click and drag one of the corners of the rectangle to expand it
(I used at various times
the upper left and the lower right with the same results.)

result: new part of rectangle does not show either while expanding or after
clicking elsewhere, scrolling
window and using the yellow button to minimize the window and then re-expanding
it did not fix the
error.

I, of course, did not save the failed files since they were not what I needed
for the project at hand. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled OOo now 4 times in the last 24 hours. I do
not have time at the
moment to repeat so that I can generate screen shots - sorry. I'm weeks behind
as it is.

Hope this helps.

NOT reproducible with "Ooo-Dev 3.2.0 multilingual version English UI WIN XP:
[OOO320m2 (Build 9432)]"! MAC specific?

@lhorner:
What OS did you test?
Please attach a sample file and screenshots.
Please contribute a clear step by step instruction containing all observations
(error messages ...), _every_key_press_and_every_mouse_click_ how to reproduce
the problem, and explain why you believe that your results are unexpected.
That means (for example):
do not write something like „I am not able to ...“, but
„6. left mouse click on …
 expected: …, color of … changes, …
actual: no …., color remains white, no …
Please always specify OS and Platform you used for your tests!

I've had the same problems with 320m1 and 300m61. In m1 I can't even resize
the rectangle.

As it may matter, I have my defaults set to uncolored shapes.
