I tried various tests such using various file types, some were very large files and others small files. The notebook memory usage was close to 100% in many cases, but at no point did it crash, though the application did become unresponsive occassionally. My notebook has similar configuration to the Acer Aspire 1 but the OS was Windows 7 (instead of XP) and the OO version was OOo-dev-3.2.0 (see attached snapshot openofficeversion.jpg for details) Reproducabile No, I was unable to replicate the fault Test Environment Notebook: HP MIni 110 -1100 Chip : Intel Atom Memory: 1 GB System Type: 32 bit processor SnapShot testenvironment.jpg attached Software OS: Windows 7 Impress 3.2 beta Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 Test Data RST123.ppt = 2027 KB RST123.odp = 1217 KB system.pptx = 1889 KB system.odp = 227 KB The odp files were created in powerpoint, imported into impress and then saved as odp files. The rst files are too large to load, please email me at amcharr...@gmail.com if you wish copies of them. Steps to Replicate the problem 1) Open Impress 3.2 beta 2) Go to tools/options/view/graphics output and ensure this is enabled 3) Using Open- File, load files, rst123.ppt, rst123.odp, strategy.odp, strategy.pptx 4) Using SlideShow-Slideshow turn strategy.odp into a slideshow 5) Using the key, click through the slideshow Expected Result The slideshow presentation completes successfully without crashing Actual Result The slideshow presentation completed successfully, though occassionally appeared unresponsive and prompted the user to either wait for the program to respond, or close the program. See snapshot notresonding.jpg attached. I also monitored the system using perfmon and have attached the log files. Follow Up Tests I performed some extra tests to try and replicate the problem 1) I worked through the large (151 slides) impress presentation (rst123.odp) - no crash 2) I clicked through using the key all 151 slides of the rst.ppt - no crash 3) I used both the F5 key and the Menu methods of creating the slideshow - no crash 4) I opened the files in different order and then ran the rst123.odp slideshow - no crash Recommended Follow up tests: These might be interesting tests to execute: 1) Test using a different operating system - perhaps windows XP 2) run slideshow with projector as there is a pre-existing bug(104591) that causes impress to crash with a projector. 3) Test with files created in impress and saved as odp files - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
