[graphics-issues] [Issue 107527] linked graphics cause sli de sorter to jump
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=107527 --- Additional comments from thoughtbl...@openoffice.org Tue Jan 26 17:38:19 + 2010 --- I have added an attachment. The behaviour occurs on 3.1.1 OOO310m19 (kubuntu) and also in 3.0.1 on WindosXP. it is inconsistent. To replicate: 1. go to normal view. 2. in the slide scroller on the left, select first, then third slie etc - jump around a bit. 3. End with selecting the first slide 4. go to the slide sorter view (3 slides in a row) 5. scroll to the end 6. count to 15. It jumps. Scroll down again and again: jumping takes longer or stops. Go through the process gain, it jumps again. In real world presentations where I have a lot of images, the jumping is really bad and makes the slide sorter view unusable. So the effect seems to depend on the numer of images. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. So I am trying to translate back where I refer to tabs and menu item names. 1. create new impress document 2. create as many slides such that you have to scroll the slide sorter view 3. insert a graphic _by link_ into 2 or more of the slides (in fact, I used the same graphic in two or more slides. I didn't test using only one graphic link). 4. Be sure to be in normal view. 5. Go to a specific slide (lets assume slide No.2) 6. change to slide sorter view. 7. Scroll down such that the selected slide is not visible. 8. Click to select a visible slide (assume No. 33). = a) After a short while, the selection frame dissapears from No. 33. On scrolling up you can see that your starting slide No.2 is selected again. b) Or the slide sorter completely jumps back to slide No.2. c) Behaviour a or b are consistent and only dependent on the document (same doc same behaviour). I could not find out what makes the difference. 9. Go back to Normal view 10. Select links/resolve links (de: Bearbeiten/Verknüpfungen/Verknüpfungen lösen) to embed the graphics. make sure there is no link left. = Now the slide sorter view works just fine Related issues: 1. Slidepreview on the left of the normal view does the same 2. menu Bearbeiten/Verknüpfungen is not accessible from slide sorter view 3. #58383 and #91384 may be related too. This has been verified also with older versions of OOo and on Wndows XP as well as on different Ubuntu versions. (Only today I have found out that it is related to having linked graphics) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
