The settings are more sophisticated than it would be by using a mouse. Please have a look at chapter 10 of the drawing guide, starting with: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOoAuthors_User_Manual/Draw_Guide/Working_with_text_in_Draw There are several ways to enter the edit mode of a drawing object, for example you can press F2. You can set different ways how an object react to double-click or singe-click in Tools Options and with the buttons on the toolbar Options. I do not understand your problem with scaling. However, because scaling is a different topic, you should write a new issue for scaling. We cannot handle issues, which deal with several topics. Please try to describe your proposals in a way that using like in application XYZ would not be needed, because readers of the issue likely do not knew that application. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I will try to explain my request. I would to create complex objects for using like a gallery or library (Drag an shape or object on the page). I do that a lot of time with an other software (ok, I'll follow your advice : no reference ;-) ). Problem : it's hard to have complex object usable as simple object with OOo Draw. Example : try to draw a simple switch with 3 lines and a circle ( __.\__ ). Add glue connector at each end. Now, group all (3 lines and circle) and now, how to have a text at the right of the group wich could be edited with double-click ? 1) create a text and group with first group ? bad idea because editing isn't possible with double-click... 2) combine (CTRL+SHIFT+K) is ok for double-click edition but text is center on the form (so, overwrite the symbol). If editing position in inch or centimeter, changing scale of the object on the page make the text coming on it when growing or be far away from it object when shrinking. I'm sorry if I'm not clear but this could help a lot to create libraries (networks, electrical, electronics, symbols, etc.) and the priority is IMHO higher than average. I would really help OpenOffice community and my goal is to use OpenOffice Draw as a professionnal application. Advantages are : 1) no need to add manually a text object, 2) when double-click on object, automaticaly edit the text (while OOo need to enter in group of 2 objects : form and text, then double-click on text, edit, click away...) 3) a click on object to change scale (using little box at each angle) is different if it's grouped (grid not useful to help for same scale). Don't know if I'm clear enough but OOo draw is the only one able to draw technical, network, electrical schemas and I think that a lot of ameliorations were done on OOo calc and writer, but not enough on Draw. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
