I have submitted issue 50464 for setting bitmaps explicitly as background
bitmaps when they cover the background completely.

I have subtmitted issue 50465 for improving the determination of the background
color set at the edit engine.

The edit engine still should be able to handle the case that background color
and text color are the same or very close.
Please have a look at this.

This seems to be an (in)famous problem. The layouts in question have bitmaps
the size of the background in front of a white background. The edit engine
takes the white foreground color and this white background color and ignores the
bitmap that covers the background completly.

We have here more than one bug:
1. The background color is not determined correctly. Bitmaps under the text are
ignored.
2. The edit engine does not recognize the low contrast and does not use a better
combination of fore- and background colors.
3. The bitmaps that cover the background should be background images. When they
are then the edit engine suddenly uses the right background color (a medium blue
in case of Blue Fluid.)

I think that adapting the template documents to use the bitmaps as background
images is the easiest solution. Modifying the edit engine will likely lead to
regression bugs.
