The status bar will show linked bitmap inserted. This is a feature. The crash cannot be reproduced here in any way, not on WinXP and not on Linux. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Why should the behavior be any different than using the insert menu? As far as I remember, drag and dropping into writer does not link, but instead embeds the image. And for the linked bitmap inserted, well I could not notice this at all, status bars don't grab so much attention. Shouldn't it be possible to have instead a dialog asking if you want to link or embed the images (with the option of always remembering for this document, or always remembering for all documents). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. After converting the file to ppt there are still empty rectangle at the places where the bitmaps should be. for the crash: have you been asked to send a crash report and if so, how can I find it (used email or line of description) ? Does it reproduce on your side? I'm not really knowledgeable so the info I can provide is pretty much the culprit file and the way I can make it crash. And... how can the images be inserted as links? Is this a bug or a feature? I inserted them by drag and dropping them in the slides. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
