AW: Systematically tested all combinations of overlay-buffering,
output-buffering and RTL, all eight combinations work now. Looks like switching
off RTL-Flag at the app window was the only error (!).
AW: Not finished, i want to check this with buffering in SC and SW when aw046 is
integrated, this will be a m218...

Your previous comment seemed to indicate that you would like to have this issue
back. Well, here it is. I have attached a patch that disables RTL for all
sd::Window objects. That does not seem to make any problems for the slide
sorter or the task pane.

AW-AF: Please decide and describe where to switch off the RTL Flag for the SD
application window (as discussed, evtl. add patch). Do not forget eventually
other place for draw (?).
It has shown to be necessary, so i need this to continue doing corrections for
overlay and prerendering mechanisms.

AW: First investigations. Asked PL again, he said that the applications disable
RTL at their window and at all windows the default is true. The default for
vdevs is false.
AW: First tried Draw/Impress and changed PreRendering (A) and OverlayBuffering
(B) VDevs to use RTL flag from target window. Does not work, even switching off
A and B leads to a draw visualisation where teh X-Axis is mirrored.

AW: Draw/Impress definitely does not switch off the RTL flag for it's window.
When doing that in the debugger (patching) it looks better. Seems as if the
Applications themselves have some problems.
AW: Adding CL to CC to keep him informed...

yes this is not a crash but it renders two applications completly unuseable on
any OOo supported languages that are RTL. So this is not only a showstopper but
should be fixed ASAP so these versions can be tested again. So P2 is justified
from my perspective.

in a command shell set environment variable SAL_RTL_ENABLED and start office

f.e. on windows
 set SAL_RTL_ENABLED=1
 soffice -impress

now your impress should be seen in rtl mode (user interface mirrored)

Try to insert a shape with the mouse, after creation the shapes is drawn at the
wrong position (mirrored horizontal). If you move the shape with the mouse, the
background is restored wrong.

I think this was ok in m210.

This behavior can be switched of by changing the configuration entry PaintBuffer
to false

AW: happens with SAL_RTL_ENABLED=1 in m209, but not in m194. Seems to have
happened somewhere in-between. It seems to be related to pre-rendering, thus
happens only ATM in Draw/Impress and should be there since aw024 - I think P3
is enough, it's not a crash, but i'll keep P2 for the moment.
Talked with PL about the VCL mirroring feature (EnableRTL(), IsTLEnabled() at
OutDev). For Windows, it'always activated, for VDevs it's always disabled. The
applications usually disable it for their application window (but needs to be
checked for each application, PL is not sure if it's done in all apps plus
DrawingLayer users like outline dialogs, basic dialogs, etc...). All in all,
when mirroring is on, a mess of modes from all involved OutDevs is in place -
need to be carefully checked and fixed...
