I'm not certain this is a function of Impress Slideshow.

I can toggle my external VGA output from LCD to both to Monitor repeatedly,
successfully viewing the desktop or other programs. With Impress in slideshow
view, when I toggle from LCD to both to Monitor it works, but only the first
time. If I then toggle to LCD only and try to go around again the external
monitor sync's then goes into standby. Based upon the above symptoms it
seems as if the issue is Impress slideshow. The only way I can then enable the
external monitor is to exit Impress and restart it. Then I can go around one
time and repeat the symptoms. I am not using the multimonitor capability of
Impress (extended desktop) but rather the keyboard blue silkscreened FN-F5 keys
which produce a system icon showing LCD, Both, or External, and allow me to
toggle which type I wish to use.

The laptop is an Acer TravelMate TM2423WXCi running Windows XP. Perhaps someone
could try it and see if it can be duplicated on a different machine. I have
also contacted Acer.

Tested at work and no issues with external vga toggling. Different laptop but
same Impress version. Must be the Acer laptop.

Apologies for not thoroughly testing before reporting.
