There is no such feature that you can transform a title object to a subtitle one. Therefore presentation styles are permanently bound to their shapes. Unfortunately the implementation of the stylist does not support the feature to disable the bucket. Since it is to much work compared with the benefit in fixing an issue that exists since StarOffice 3.0 I change the target of this issue. If we rework the stylist dialog in the future we will fix this issue. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=81742 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 12 12:17:03 + 2007 --- Greying out the bucket depending on styles is not the problem, it is working : when I click on presentation styles and nothing is selected (or a graphics style is selected) then the bucket is greyed out, when I select a presentation style (such as a title) then the bucket becomes active. So no problem here, this is working. What is not working is the use of the bucket with a presentation style : when you have selected a presentation object (such as a title), then the styles and formatting window will highlight the style (here "Title") and the bucket becomes active. Theoretically you should now be able to click on the bucket and select a different presentation style, then move the mouse over your selected presentation object (mouse pointer should have changed to the bucket symbol, this is not happening), click on the object and thereby change its presentation style. This is not working. It is working (more or less) with graphics styles, but NOT with presentation styles. There is no way in the moment to change the style of a presentation object from one defined style (such as "Title") to a different one (such as "subtitle" or "Outline 1") etc ... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=81742 Issue #|81742 Summary|Changing presentation styles Component|Presentation Version|OOo 2.2.1 Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|Windows XP Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|formatting Assigned to|cgu Reported by|brendel --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 19 12:58:50 + 2007 --- This concerns the F11 "Styles and formatting" window : Changing the style of a graphics object works without problems : chose a style (Graphics Styles list shown), click on the "bucket " (Fill format mode), when you move the mouse back on your slide it changes into a "bucket", then you can click on an object and it will change to the new style. This does not work with the presentation style : When you choose a presentation style, then click on the "bucket" button and then move the mouse back on the slide, the mousepointer does NOT change to the "bucket" and clicking on a presentation object (Title, Outline etc) does not change anything. I have tried every type of sequence of clicks and double clicks I can think of and was not able to change the presentation style of a presentation object (e.g. Title into subtitle, Outline 1 into Outline 2 etc) Do I miss something or is this broken ? I haven't found any other issue on this, so I'm a bit astonished and rather doubt my ability to do the right thing.
