I think I replicate this bug in OOo RC1, Windows XP system

See the attached file.
1. Create a new presentation
2. Go to the Notes tab
3. Start typing. The text is hanging-indented
4. Make a bullet, type, the text is hanging indented, then either delete the
bullet by backspacing to erase it, or delete it by turning off bullets for that
paragraph, and the bullet goes but the text is hanging indented.
5. Try the same in the slide itself and the text hanging-indents with the bullet
and de-indents when you remove the bullet.
6. Similarly in writer, click on the bullets icon to create a bulleted
paragraph, type and see that it is hanging-indented. Then click on the icon to
remove the bullet and the paragraph de-indents.
The bug in the old version appears not to reflect the default presentation of
the bullet but instead reflects an inconsistent way of linking hanging indents
with bullets.

I also repeated the above tests with the attached file and I was unable to
reproduce this. You might want to re-test and see if this still occurs for your
setup

I don't believe it's possible to replicate this issue any more because 'notes'
no longer start with bullet points. I said originally In the Notes tab of an
Impress presentation, the automatic default is the presence of a bullet point -
this may have been true for OOo 2.3 but apparently it's not for 2.4. Bug fixed
but not really (whatever code was doing that may still be lurking in the
shadows).

Fair enough, I would go with bug fixed as well unless it surfaces again. They
might have updated to avoid this from happening again, but only time will tell.

Here's my configuration and I got a failure to replicate;

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1(Oo Build BEB300_m3)
Ubuntu Linux 8.0 TLS Server Edition(Oo Build BEB300_m3)
Both running on 32-bit, Intel-x86 Based Architecture

I tried to observe this by;

(This was in Windows)
-Creating a test presentation called test to use for this in Impress
-tabbed to the middle of the page and then hit the bullet button
-typed in random items for 3 bullet points
-selectd the entire text and then clicked on the bullet button which got rid of
the bullets
-I observed that the text got restored to its proper position.

*Repeated the same exact steps on the under the linux setup*

In both cases the text returned to its original position, if the bullets would
not have existed.

*Update to earlier post*

I tried to replicate this from another approach;

(Under Windows Enviroment)
-I created a new presentation called test in Impress and had some bullets
along with their indentation.
-I copied the text with the indentation from the test Oo Presentaion in
Impress to a new Oo Presentaion Slide that I dubbed paste and pasted the
bullet indentated text into from test
-I then selected all the text and clicked on the bullet button in Impress(this
was in the paste presentation)
-The bullets disappeared and the text regained a position that is the same as
that without bullets.

*Repeated this on the linux setup as well*

No replication in both cases, the text regains its rightful position once the
bullets are removed via clicking the bullets button

I then tried;

(Under Windows Enviroment)
-Creating a new presentation in Powerpoint, that comes with Microsoft Office
Enterprise '07, which currently has SP1 for Office installed.
-Called the presentation testagain
-Created random bullets for up to three bullets in the testagain presentation.
-Selected all the text from the Msft Powerpoint presentation, copied and pasted
into a new Oo Impress Presentation called pasteagain
-While all the pasted text in testagain was still selected I increased the font
size from 12 to 24 and then clicked on the bullets button to remove the bullets.
-The text went back to a position that was absent of any indentation whatsoever.

NB: The font size used for both the Original Post and Update as 12pt and the
font style used was Calbri

This issue applies to 2.3 - the problem is that when a paragraph is pasted or
typed into place and bullet points are switched off by selecting the text and
hitting the bullet-point button (while composing notes or a slide for which
bullets are switched on by default), the indentation remains on all lines after
the first line. Yes, it can be removed by context clicking, selecting Paragraph
and changing the indents under the Indents and Spacing tab but this isn't
necessary in Writer (and I don't think it should be). Switching off bullets
should return indentation to normal.

The bug does not occur if what you paste or type is too small - it must be
longer than one line (so that automatic line wrapping occurs). Selecting and
deactivating bullets via toolbar yeilds bug-induced indent.

If the problem happened in Writer, it'd surely be called a defect. Switching
bullets off should put the text (all of it) back to how it would appear if
there were no bullets switched on in the first place (i.e. no indentation of
any lines and certainly not indentation of all lines except the first which
just looks odd). The fact that it behaves differently depending on whether the
line inserted is long enough to cause wrapping also implies that it's a
deffect, as does the fact that indentation is corrected for the first line
(implying an original intent to correct indentation) but fails for subsequent
lines.

In my mind it would be a bug if the Bullets would affect the paragraph indent
settings.
I close the issue. Please write an enhancement if you like to have this feature.

In the Notes tab of an Impress presentation, the automatic default is the
presence of a bullet point. Removal of the bullet point removes the indentation
for the first line only, and it remains, unremovable, for subsequent lines. See
attached file.

The indent is set in the style of the presentation object Notes. Open the
Styles and Formatting window and change it there. Then click on the paragraph
and remove the direct formattings with FormatDefault Formatting.

I haven't got a bullet point as default in OOo2.3.

Is 1.0.2 the correct version? Please use the newest version, which is available
for your machine.
