Impress tooltips are appearing in firefox when I hover over a firefox area corresponding to where impress would normally show a tooltip. Amazingly, this even happens when impress is in a different space than firefox. For example, impress is in space 1 and if I hover over screen coordinates (not impress coordinates, but coordinates for my physical visible screen) 200, 300 with impress in front, I see a tooltip about an impress button I am hovering over.
