That being the case, it might be better to consider the patch I am now attaching, which affects only Windows code, instead of the previous patch which affects other OS's as well. In the original code, checking whether popup windows are off the screen is disabled. When I removed the code, as in the attached patch to vcl/win/source/window/salframe.cxx, the problem is solved, without need of the previous patch.
