However I can verify that the current state is built out. Nevertheless we will have to activate it again (see CWS autoextension01) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=78852 User fs changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 10 12:57:20 + 2008 --- This already is done in OOH680m1 - there was an issue a while ago which requested and implemented this, IIRC this was a patch by Michael Meeks. However, it is worth noticing that with this new behavior, the situation got worse than before: Now, it is impossible to save a file with a selected filter, but an extension different from what is suggested. I.e., if you want to save a Writer file as plain text, you need to choose the filter Text (.txt). Now when you enter foo.csv, the file is actually saved as foo.csv.txt. The old solution had its problems, but those could be worked around. The new solution has its problems, too - but those can *not* be worked around. Effectively, I consider this a change to the worse. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This is not about changing the way how OOo actually assigns a file name extension (if automatic=on). For API stability or configuration compatibility reasons, we may need to decide to keep the configuration setting, but still, the UI shall be removed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
