There was a 3.0 version of OO which had a problem -- it will not show up the REPLACE tab in the Autocorrect dialogue window... So, i have downloaded the 3.1 directly from the download site and installed. I have not tried to rename or remove the user settings to be frank .. I do not know. profile folder is named .openoffice. Open a shell and cd to your home directory
and remove your settings folder('rm -rf .openoffice.org'). Restart the office.
