So I saved the document on my desktop, and tried a normal "right-click->Send to->E-mail recipient", but it produced absolutely no effect. Thunderbird works as normal, I can send emails and receive them, and has not been updated recently. I tried installing OOo 3.1.0 on another PC, running Windows XP this time, and I was able to reproduce the exact same problem.
