The update script is part of our online update from the OpenOffice.org. Perhaps it should be better named onlineupdate or something similar. It is not planned as a program to be started from the shell. For this we have the Java GUI Installer that is part of all our OpenOffice.org with JRE installation sets. Furthermore you cannot install OpenOffice.org next to an already installed go-oo version. This will conflict. So you have to uninstall the go-oo product or you have to use a tar.gz-version of OpenOffice.org. Both products as rpm (or deb) cannot be installed next to each other. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. We should think about a renaming or better 'hiding place' of this script as it is not intended for installation. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This has also been true for OOo 3.0.0 to 3.1.x. So this can't be a rekease blocker. If I see this right there is nothing to be fixed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This occurs, if you like to install the RC while the original distro installation of Fedora 12 is present: $ sudo rpm -ivh *.x86_64.rpm Vorbereiten... ### [100%] Paket openoffice.org-ure-1:3.1.1-19.22.fc12.x86_64 (welches neuer als openoffice.org-ure-1.6.0- 9472.x86_64 ist) ist bereits installiert Any package name begins with openoffice.org3, e.g. openoffice.org3-writer-3.2.0-9472.x86_64.rpm and allows a parallel installation to the distro packages. openoffice.org-ure-1.6.0-9472.x86_64 is missing the 3 and this causes the conflicts. Regarding this, adding the 3 to this package too would solve the issue and allow two working OpenOffice.org installations, since the vanilla version is installed in /opt. Another way to work around this issue would be to provide the package as version 3.2.0 instead of 1.6.0, but this one may not be the best solution. I think this issue may be concerned to the reported one and maybe would solve that for any other RPM based distribution too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
