To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53648 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 25 23:26:31 -0700 2005 --- There is a problem with changing the link to be relative: the link gets adjusted in the package postinstall script to be able to install the office to a different location then /opt/openoffice.org, but still have a working desktop integration. The adjusting script queries the package database for the install location of OOo, and this query always returns a full qualified path. Of hand I don't see a way how to easily convert this into a relative path in a shell script. One option might be to move the desktop integration packages to a different sub folder as it is for on Linux, but I am not sure if the solves your problem .. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. But this is no big deal as there is at least one easy modification that make things work properly (modification after installation of the symbolic link to the correct location). Regards. But actually you are right, a simple '..' prefix should be sufficient. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Point 2) is still valid. Changing the /opt reference to ../opt by hand makes the installation work properly. Regards.
