Firstly a quick progress update for you. The OOo 1.1.x series will never be localised for en-GB. This is due to some fundamental problems with the way the language was implemented in it and used for development but not release purposes. However, en-GB is firmly on the release timeline for OOo 2.0, and an en-GB version will be released as one of the first supported languages. :-) So far we have completed translation of all the GUI strings and the help for OOo 2.0 milestone m73. The next step is to migrate these forward to the latest milestone and do a test/evaluation/QA build for testing. I'm hopeful this will be done by the end of this week, although there is a minor build issue that needs to be resolved. Thanks for taking the challenge, Jerome. Please note that I have to correct myself slightly... Looking at http://l10n.openoffice.org/localization_responsibilities.html shows that I missed the fact that for OOo 2.0, David Bartlett ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) already signed for leading a British English language project. Since that project has no home page set up yet, I can't tell about its proceedings. I propose that Jerome and David get to know each other in order to get this project going. As you may want to exchange information with other localisation projects, you should do so via the dev@l10n.openoffice.org news group. I'm sure that geting in contact with people like Pavel Janik ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and others who already gathered experience with localisation issues will ease the way for such an easy project (easy in terms of number of strings to be translated).
