I would suggest to use "inglese_usa", as it is formally more correct. The 
term "US" is only a very common shortcut, but not the correct name of the 
country.

I agree with Pescetti: the name of the country in Italian is USA, not US, 
therefore it seems just obvious that the form "Inglese (USA)" should be used.
