I will post a patch to fix this, haven't done it yet, there is some tweaking to do. But I already encountered a problem: There doesn't seem to be a way to resize the custom check boxes added to the file picker. When loading the localized resource strings e.g. for German, the text will wrap several times, and the monstrous word "Dateinamenserweiterung" will be split up in the middle of the word.
