A first goal should be to get spellcheck working for "hello world" in "spell_checker.odt". I see that your use and test OOo very intensively. My suspect is that this is not a general spellchecker problem but something with your installation on your PC(s). Did you already try a really clean installation? You should uninstall all old OOo versions and also delete (or rename, so that OOo installer will not recognize those folders) your "profiles". For my WIN PC, that's and eliminate all other OOo from your PC, before you reinstall. Now I see where the problem maybe is -- the document is interpreted as in both English AND Polish. It is interesting feature but I would like to force the document to be only in English OR in Polish and I would like to run spell checking in only one language. Pls. feel free to reopen this issue if you find out that the problem is still existing with a current stable OOo version, but then we would need much more information!
