This is the rule here. If you have found other problem(s), search if an issue isn't already open for it, and fill a new one if not. If 1.1.2 doesn't work after update with Mac OS X 10.4, please uninstall it completely. About twain issue : I always use SANE, and test myself with a Linux SANE server present in my network. For me, it works, even with two scanner in the same time (I have). Please open a new issue if you are sure it's not a problem with your configuration. About 1.1.4 not starting : which Mac OSX version are you using ? and where did you download OOo, and which version ? I'm not sure your install is even clean...
