fs->tono: I built all platforms with your patches - compiles fine, works fine :)
Committed your patch to CWS moz2seamonkey01 - thanks for providing them!
Note that strictly, you probably also want to patch configure(.in) to check for
the old moztools pre-requisite when configuring for mingw. I'm fine if you want
to do this later, but if you can provide this in time, I can also commit it to
the same CWS ...

@fs: I have attached updated patches. For connectivity, I used templates

Yes, that makes sense

None comes to my mind. Hmm, perhaps mis-using post_include_mozilla.h is
bearable, alternatively, feel free to introduce a new header.

@fa: I think the problem in nsprpub can be resolved by assingng null string to
LIB_PREFIX for MSVC build in nsprpub/configure.

I will try the modification as well as the changes you suggested for
connectivity. I would like to enclse the macro in an appropriate header, if I
can find one.

another note: For the changes in connectivity, I would prefer a version which
encapsulates the reinterpret cast in some macro. That is, instead of doing (and
commenting) the change over and over again, a central macro to convert
PRUnichar* to sal_Unicode* (and back), defined to empty for non-mingw builds,
would be better. At the very least because we then would introduce the
reinterpret_cast only for the platform which needs it, not for the others, so it
will not hide possible future errors.

fs->tono: A cygwin build now breaks in nsprpub/pb/src, with an error message
saying that no rule for some "lib..." is found. This is cause by your change in
nsprpub/config/rules.mk, where you add LIB_PREFIX to the LIBRARY and
IMPORT_LIBRARY definitions. Looks like this change should be effective in mingw
only.
After backing out this change locally, the Windows build is still running ...

fs->tono: From a quick look, the patch/es look pretty straight forward. I will
nonetheless try them on all the standard platforms, which might take a few days.
Since the CWS idles in QA at the moment, we might still be able to attach this
issue here to it (though I didn't check that with the QA guys, yet).

I would like to include mingw port in cws moz2seamonkey01, if posible.

Actually vc8 tools does not work with mingw but with vc71 glib and libIDL mingw
can build seamonkey.
So makefile.mk should be modified.

A few additional patches are required as well.

Additinally, I would like to use wchar_t as PRUChar and use reinterpret_cast's
in connectivity instead of using unsigned short.
(In mingw, wchar_t is an builtin type of 16 bit unsigned integer but
incompatible with unsigned short.)
It will make the patch smaller and we can avoid future modification of the
patch in upgrading seamonley version.
