I am a new user. I agree with the others that the collate should not need to be
set to get multiple copies.

@all

If you want to see the behaviour change, this issue is not a specific Mac OS X
issue anymore.

Can you please reassign this issue ? this is _not_ a specific Mac OS X issue
IMHO.

MRU-HI: could you please have a look at his printing issue? Seems that this
also occurs on other OS's.

I have to say that I agree with jfilby in that it really is counter initiative
to have to check 'collate' to get the number of copies you have selected
especially with a single page document ('collate' is greyed out for until you
increase the number of copies for a single page doc).

Hi Eric,
I think that it should stay open - at least to be checked in the Aqua distro.
I see where collate works
but it is really counter initiative to to use when you have a box that claims
to print out a number of
copies. With a single page doc, using this would not have occurred to me (it
took a suggestion from
another user to try).

This works - but I would not want to have to doc the Multiple copy feature as
only working when
collate is marked - if this is the real case then collate should default to
yes at all times - and in fact
is not needed as an option.

My .02 as work progresses to a better replacement for MS Office.
Jim Filby.

Multiple copies works as expected with collate checked.

Can you please try checking collate ?

The screenshot I'll attach is made using native, but it should work for X11
version ( using system Cups).

Sorry, I'm not at home all the week, and don't have X11 installed on my
machine, so I only can check
using Aqua version.

I can confirm this issue on OO v2.1 and OO v2.0.4 so this issue is not new. I
have Mac OS X 10.4.8 PPC (same issue on older 10.4.x versions), HP 2600n and
Brother 1250.
