still invalid/needmoreinfo the attached document doesn't contain a formula at
all, but already the text of:=COUNTIF([.A1:.A40];5) - so no matter where you
open that file, it will display the same text.

More precise: it is stored with
table:table-cell office:value-type=string
 text:pof:=COUNTIF([.A1:.A40];5)/text:p
/table:table-cell

We need the document with the working formula, not the one that doesn't display
properly.

Sorry, I had a login problem on february 9th, so I send this comment torvojta
by mail:

NB.SI is the French localization of COUNTIF, so it's a basic function. The
same glitch occurs with all
functions.

Here is an attached test file, created on an XP box with OpenOffice 3.

FYI, the same problem now occurs with last update of NeoOffice.

Didier, can you attach sample document from Windows? From where NB.SI function
comes from? Add-in? Basic function?

When I open OpenOffice Windows spreadsheet files on the Mac, formulas are
totally messed up.

On the PC, if I use this formula:
=NB.SI(F$4:F$33;$A35)
it appears on the Mac as:
of:=COUNTIF([.F$4:.F$33];[.$A35])

NeoOffice 2.2.5 patch 4 perfectly reads the same file.

PC configuration:
OpenOffice 3, French localization, downloaded a few weeks ago (sorry, can't
check more at this time)
Windows XP Home, automatically updated

Mac configuration:
OpenOffice 300m11, French localization
Mac OS X 10.4.11

HTH

Best regards,

Didier
