It would be very convenient if OpenOffice's calc application could provide an
automatic alternate shading function for cells.

Alternate shading is very useful when creating tables that need to be easy to
read. However, doing this by hand is a very tedious task, and any change to the
table such as adding or deleting cells forces that user to start again from 
scratch.
