In 3.3, with the changes for issue 116164, it takes 2 seconds for the first
filter selection, less than a second for following selections. The 2 seconds are
caused by creating the caption objects, for which issue 107216 is open. The
specific problems with filtering no longer occur, so this issue can be closed.
