So, when saving from xls to ods, the dialog will not get launched, the same when going from ods to ods. -> ok, understood. The way to check if this is working as designed is to open the resaved file and test if those sheet protections are still in place, with the same password. If yes, then it's working as designed. -> ok, understood. It is working as designed, I will mark it as resolved. It was my assumption, that this is a feature to *remove* the password hash.
