Here is a weird format situation, please follow these steps: 1) open an empty new spreadsheet. 2) in cell A1 place the formula =1/3. It should render 0,33. OK. 3) now enter in A1 1/3 (no equal sign). It should render 01/03/10. OpenOffice assumes input as date. 4) now enter again =1/3 in cell A1. The format of cell A1 was maintained as Date and the rendering shows 31/12/99.
