THX You should try to insert the following formats: RTF, HTML, CVS, TXT. All of them should work. Inserting files (formated as Text or CSV) but using an unknown extension can(!) work ... but its not guaranteed. re-open issue and reassign to [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=46494 User as changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 4 23:16:21 -0700 2005 --- The problem behind: The registration for the extension txt is ambigous. So the results are not realy clear. Because the calc text filter is not registered for the type writer_Text. But this type is detected as the preferred one. So the detection returns the type writer_Text and the Text filter ... but it's not accepted outside the detetection ... because the filter does not match the right factory. I've improved the detection with preselected factory so it works now as aspected. BUT: Insert Sheet From File with a file using an unknown extension (e.g. *.cxx) doesnt work. Because the calc module cant detect text based formats by it's content. Such format's are detected only flat by using the right extension! And that can be fixed only by the calc deep detection itself. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
