I open the xls file with Excel 2003 with no problem, but if open with Calc, 4 out of 5 grouped shapes cannot be shown correctly. The problem should be the grouping; I did several follow up tests: 1) Un-group the grouped shapes, then Calc can show it without any problem. 2) Group the shapes again, then the same issue happened again 3) For the 2nd graph, Calc can show it correctly because the reporter may forget to group it shapes in the graph don't move together. However, if copy these shapes to Microsoft Word and save it as a doc file, then OpenOffice.org can show them correctly. 4) I also draw several shapes by myself and group/ungroup them, but found that this bug doesn’t happen. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Please find the problematic file attachment. For ease of understanding I have created a grouped object as well the same object in ungrouped format so that if you open in OOo Calc you will understand it. Thanks a lot. I am sure it is a very simple problem for the original designer/developer. The priorities are ofcourse relative. I am an ardent supporter of open source software and moved a few PCs to Linux Desktop on experimental basis. I faced many problems and could provide a work around for all except this one I have reported. If this problem is not geeting solved soon sadly, these PCs might have to be moved back to the propriety systems again.
