Options "Precision as shown" and "Limit decimals for general number formats" more clearly connect between calculation precision and what is displayed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Nevertheless I feel it is worth mentioning it and it probably can be fixed easily if it is being considered valid. In OOo.Calc, Tools - Options - OOo.Calc, Calculate, the "Decimal Places" option does not belong under Calculate. This option just affects the (default) display of numbers and thus belongs under View. Yet I have also a more fundamental concern with the way the default view is handled in OOo Calc, but I will file this as a separate issue. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
