Not reproducible with 2.2.1 Multilingual German version WIN XP:
[680m18(Build9161)], 2.0.X WIN XP: [680m180 (Build9056)], 2.0.2 German
version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)].

am a little astonished to find the blanks in the link encoded in the report, my
OOo shows blanks:
='file:///C:/Dokumente und Einstellungen/Rainer/Eigene
Dateien/TEMP/oootestfiles/76794_dde/source.xls'#$Tabelle1.A1

Closing issue due to reporter's inactivity.

Pls. feel free to reopen this issue if you find out that the problem is still
existing with a current stable OOo version and if you can contribute requested
additional information, information concerning your OS and a testkit with sample
files.

Whenever I try to link to a cell in another spreadsheet - Calc 2.2 gives an
error that says the source file does not exist even though that file is in the
same folder. This happens whether the source file is an .xls or Open Office
spreadsheet.

The formula bar shows the follwing as the file location -
='file:///c:/users/jon%20stout/documents/dun'afton/crown%20reports/shire%20of%
20dun'afton/rolls%20docs/sir%20donal%20ian%20mackenzie%20steps%20mk2.xls'#'main
sheet'.c9

Something about this is wrong as this function did work in 2.1.
