Kubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx, KDE), selected a dark color scheme (darKubuntu http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=115741), OO 3.2.0 ('out of the box'). I cannot set any cell background, also I cannot set border color. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It seems the threshold is as follows: OOo enters some kind of High Contrast Mode at rgb: 38,38,38 rgb: 39,39,39 disables that mode. I believe this is a side effect (duplicate) of issue #35482 - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Cell colors vanish when either a) the document background or b) the window color [3D objects in Windows] are adjusted below the threshold. Manually-colored cells and conditional-formatting-colored cells all lose their color, until background or 3Do color is raised beyond the threshold. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82875 Issue #|82875 Summary|dark gtk base[NORMAL] color prevents cell background |s from showing Component|Spreadsheet Version|OOo 2.2 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|formatting Assigned to|spreadsheet Reported by|xris --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 23 08:22:45 + 2007 --- OO installed in fedora 7, via red hat rpm repository. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get calc to display any cell background colors (the preview in format cells works fine). This seems to trace back to a problem interpreting the gtk base[NORMAL] color preference, since when I edit it in my theme to something lighter than #090916 (my default), the cell backgrounds appear again. The threshold appears to be somewhere around #404020. You can find a theme that manifests the problem here: http://forevermore.net/files/themes/Bluedarker_gtk_theme.tar.bz2 - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
