Please try if your Excel can load your file. If yes, we can look for a solution, e.g. you could attach a screenshot of one of the charts. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Excel 2007 SP1 complains about unreadable contents and tries to repair it. All contained charts are removed. Also Calc finds invalid charts during import. Anyway, I can confirm that the import of references with quoted sheet names works now. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=92272 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Aug 4 23:14:35 + 2008 --- Originally, I believe that the document was created with Excel 2007 and saved as an *.xlsx file. I'm not sure of the exact service pack when the document was created, however I always kept up to date with patches etc. when on windows. I made the transition to Ubuntu/Linux about 10 months ago, so whatever was the service pack (if there was a service pack 10 months ago) for Excel 2007, I would have had it applied. I have always noticed that when opening Excel 2007 *.xlsx files in OpenOffice calc versions 2.4 or 3.0 beta2, the majority of charts/graphs created in Excel fail to open in the spreadsheet supplied with this bug (92272). Until now, I have assumed that it was because those charts were based on referenced values that didn't import correctly (! instead of .) Consequently, I assumed when the import filters were fixed the charts should have been fixed. Is there a way the importing of charts can be fixed? Can you reopen this bug as a new bug? I.e. can the importing of charts from xlsx files be fixed? Cheers, Alexander - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Am I right in saying that Excel uses a whitespace for intersection? It seems to. But when importing an xlsx file, the formula is compiled into tokens using Excel's convention during import. So, I think somewhere there lies the problem. (I hope I didn't break it with my variable formula work...) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The offending formulas are properly imported with a '.' as the sheet separator. So I'm going to mark this as fixed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. If the referenced cell calls upon another worksheet, the formula used in Excel fails in Calc. For example, on one worksheet I use the formula ='Skin Pain'!H65/AVERAGE('Skin Pain'!$H$4:$H$23)*100 in this case the formula refers to another worksheet called Skin Pain. The cell then displays: Err:509. I have worked out that simply by changing the ! characters to . the formula now works correctly and displays the correct value. Is there a way to fix the importing filters so that xlsx files correctly display automatically? Cheers! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
