2008 ---
Downloaded OOO300m9 (EXE) and still on Wine, When I drag contents of a cell the
copy cursor  does not appear.

For objects, with the CTRL and drag, I see the cross arrows cursor, even if it
is a move action.

Will later with try with a Linux version to report back.

2008 ---
In Calc when I try to drag a copy of one cell, the plus cursor didnt appear. In
OOo 2.4.1 the plus cursor appears.
Multiple cell drag and copy never did have any plus cursor in OOo 2.4.1

I am using OOo300_m8 on
Wine 0.9.46
Sun JRE 1.6.0_04
Ubuntu Linux 7.10

How do you do it? Please give a step by step description. Does you get a
copy-cursor in other situations, for example when copy-drag an object in Draw?

Hold down CTRL while dragging and the cursor will change to copy. I use German
OOo3.0RC3 on WinXP.
