To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=68889 Issue #|68889 Summary|scaling and spacing of letters on screen/printing is n |ot monotonic increasing wrt to font size Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.0.3 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Linux Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|printing Assigned to|mru Reported by|petermueller --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 23 06:39:09 -0700 2006 --- I came across this problem when I opened an OO115-generated document with OO203. The document used 11pt HelveticaNeue-Roman (Helvetica 55 Roman). My well-trained eye immediately perceived a different scaling and spacing of the glyphs in the different versions of OO. I tool a look into the PS-output and performed some tests to compare the glyph scaling ("matrix scale" in PS output) of OO115 and OO203. There should (?) be a factor of 2 in the numbers of OO203 compared to OO115: *HelveticaNeue-Roman* pt size OO115 OO203 matrix scale 11,0 4686<- scaling wrong, should be 92 11,1 4693<- scaling OK, rounding like below 11,3 4794<- scaling OK 11,5 4890<- scaling wrong size goes down! *Adobe Helvetica* pt size OO115 OO203 matrix scale 11,0 4692 <- scaling OK 11,1 4693 <- rounding problem? 11,3 4794 <- scaling OK 11,5 4896 <- scaling OK I did not check the numbers for the spacing but it seems obvious that there is something wrong with OO115 at 11.1 pt and with OO203 at 11.3 and 11.5 pt. I would expect scaling and spacing to be monotonic increasing with increasing pt size. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
