great, thanks for clearing that up.
one more question - though it might be a very obvious one: WHY is the font
different in some level 3 headings if I did't do any manual changes? is this
some automatic feature I am not aware of?

Problem is, that in e.g. number 4.3.3 and following a different font is used
than in other level 3 headings. The font Verdana displays larger than Arial,
thus the tab stop for such a number will be exceeded.
Go to Tools.Outline Numbering.Position and change for Level 3: Tab stop from
1,27cm to e.g. 1,25 cm. Now the Headings will look better.

Corruption problem happens again at 8.3 title: font gets larger.

I applied no changes to font/style/outline numbering settings and did no manual
formatting to cause this.

Hi

When I open a new empty document I first define Tools - Outline numbering as
well as font and other settings for the first three title levels. The first
couple of titles work ok (= apply the settings I defined) but somewhere after
3.4.5.th title the settings get mixed up and I get a title with an enormous gap
between the numbering and title text. Also the bold setting for font no longer
applies. The only way to get it back is to right-click the title text and select
Default formatting. This will convert the titles to the formatting as set in
Outline numbering and in the Stylist.

Example:
1. First title = bold, all caps, single space between numbering and text
1.1. ... same as above
1.1.1 . all work ok until
4.5.1 = huge space between numbering and text, text not bold
4.5.2
4.5.3 same problem
.after aplying Default formatting on the titles mentioned above ..
4.6 works ok again

I hope this was clear enough.
