I had no success. Scrolling down and up works. The only information I could retrieve from the back trace is that the process has been stopped during formatting. Thus, I assume that under certain conditions (e.g. different installed fonts) the layout algorithm enters a loop. They are from the openSUSE-build but they are with debuginfo. Strange. I had problems to reproduce it today. It freezed in the end (after some time). This can be duplicated on more than one install of OOo (it's been around for me since at least 2.4, and probably earlier). Since I'm the one who originally reported this on the Novell Bugzilla I suppose I can "describe system and OOo version", here's a copy from what i put into the Novell bug report (linked in the first comment here)... System version and architecture: openSUSE 11.1-x86_64 (has happened in the past on i586 as well) Hardware: AMD X2 6400+ (dual core), 8GB RAM, nVidia GTX260 video card (proprietary drivers) Desktop: KDE4.3.1 (has happened in the past on KDE 3.5 as well) OOo versions tested specifically with this bug report are 3.1.0 and 3.1.1. Initially I focused on the openSUSE builds, but this can been confirmed/duplicated on upstream builds of OOo 3.1.1 as well.
