I would still like to know the working versions of the software mentioned in the earlier note. As I stated I'm not reporting a defect with those specific versions and knowing the actual working versions may help me track this down myself. The versions I reported do not send the correct duplex parameters, as mentioned in the original report. If I could upgrade that might be a possible solution. Unfortunately that's not an option. In the note I didn't see anything about the version of Cups. Any chance I could know which version? That might be some help, as it appears I'm going to have to run this to ground myself. Right now openOffice is the only app with duplex printing problems and the issue is clearly with the parameters sent from oo. Knowing the versions of a working but hopefully similar system could help finding where the parameter chain breaks. These are the settings that work from all other apps just fine. I get a mostly correct printout, the only issue is one sided versus two sided. I stopped the printer and captured the ps document sent to cups and the document is fine; it looks good in other apps and prints fine both single sided and duplex. I haven't tried from other oo apps but I would be surprised if they don't have the same issue; since I did not confirm I'm only reporting this issue for writer.. I don't see how to attach anything from this screen but I have the document in question in the original odt and the ps sent to cups as well as the relevant portion of the cups error_log.
