I have been able to reproduce the bug on Windows 7 and version OO 3.2.1.

Using the same steps as provided by rosoma_xa, I was able to reproduce the
problem. The main issue is when there is a nested table and a row is selected,
the cursor moves to the next row. So, the cursor is going off by 1 when
selecting a row.

The other issue as reported by hajidon, was also reproduced using the same
steps. When we select a table and insert a table, all the previous text in the
cells is not saved and we have empty rows. Also, the new table is added in the
last row. I also found that if instead of selecting the whole table, you just
select a row and then insert a table, it works fine. No text is lost and also
the new table is inserted at the right place.

There are some other issues which I encountered. First, when we have nested
table, all the rows cannot be selected at once using cursor or CTRL+A option.
The cursor highlights only 1 row at once. Also, when we have a single table
only, and we use CTRL+A option to select all, only the first row is selected
but this problem can be avoided by using cursor. With cursor, all the text can
be selected

I'm able to reproduce this problem using 7 Ultimate, OOo 3.2.1, Build 9502.
Using the same steps as reported by rosoma_xa. There is a faster workaround for
it:

Click on the row you want to select, right click your mouse to show the menu,
Choose Row-select.

Confirming that this bug is reproducible using OOo 3.2.1 in build 9502 on
Windows 7 and in build 9505 on Ubuntu 10.10.

For the first cell of a table, clicking on either the left edge OR the top edge
of the row yields the same result. Namely, if a second cell is present, it is
selected. Otherwise, the next line is selected.

Workaround:
1.) Click on the cell you wish to select
2.) Press CTRL+A once to select all the text in the cell
3.) Press CTRL+A again to select the cell

Using Windows XP, OOo 3.2.1 and with the build 9502, I was able to reproduce
this bug.

The bug can be reproduced by just having one line of text and does not need two
to show the problem:

1. Create new Writer document.
2. Type in some text.
3. Select all text with mouse or press Ctrl-A.
4. Go to Table-Convert-Text to Table.
5. Apply Convert Text to Table tab with default values and Borders check box
marked.
6. Select the single row with a mouse.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 in order to have double Text to Table convert.
8. Select the first row with a mouse from the left edge of the row (the cursor
is shown like an arrow pointing left).

The attempted selection of the first row will automatically put the cursor under
the table, being unable to select the row from the left edge of the row.

The issue is not only with the first row, but with all the rows of a double Text
to Table convert table. If it were 1 row, 3 rows, 100 rows, etc., trying to
select any one of the rows will always select and put the cursor one row below
the desired selection (or out of the table if trying to select last row of
table), therefore the problem lies with double Text to Table conversion.

It is also impossible to select the whole table from the top left corner (the
cursor is shown like an arrow pointing Southeast). This applies to all tables
that are of a double Text to Table convert, no matter how many rows.

Of course, with a single Text to Table convert, the selection from the left edge
of the row selects the appropriate row. Embedding tables inside one of the cells
does not produce a problem and all rows can be selected.

Another example I've encountered allows the correct selection of the row if
there are 2 or more columns with the left-most cell being converted using Text
to Table conversion. The only problem is the whole row cannot be selected, only
the cursor is in the right place.

I have attached a file of examples that I've tried and encountered the problem
and where I hadn't.

The problem does not seem to be too severe and it is easy to get around, just by
dragging the mouse over the row to select it. But of course, the Word Processor
should do what it says it will do (when leaving mouse over the left edge of a
row, a pop up box displays “Select table row”) and this bug should be considered
fixing.

Hi,
I have found another problem with the tables if you write some text in the
table
and then select the whole text in the table and then insert another table it
removes all the text.
Steps to replicate.
1. Create a new Writer Document.
2. Type some text and hit enter.
3. again type some text and hit enter.
4. repeat the step 3 again.
5. Select all text with a mouse or press ctrl+A.
6. Choose Table-Convert-Text to Table.
7. Again select all text with a mouse.
8. Choose Table-Insert-Table.
9. Press okay with default values.
All the text you have written will not be there any more and two more rows and
columns will appear on the third row.

I have faced this problem with OOo_3.2.1_Win_x86_install-wJRE_en-US.exe. I
am using DELL N5010 notebook and windows 7 64bit as an operating system.
