The general problem seems to be that the MathType export to Word filter in OOO
works incorrectly. Possibly, it is lagging in MathType language version, or
something. This is still an issue in 3.3.* and a major pain, too.
#22353 and #50130 are duplicates of this. The #69385 is related to this.
E.g., the constructs of form A_b and A^b, and "wideslash" instruction do not
survive the conversion -- former change to rSub and rSup, latter is turned to
garbage.
Also, the MathType to Word conversion routine completely disregards the formula
font size, whether it is set in user settings, or in the installation-wide
main.xcd, or in the formula itself ("size {}"). The routine turns out every
formula in exported word file with base "size 12" and indexes of "size 8".
Imagine having to click-click every formula in the Word document to change that.

When I edit the file in OOo (see issue2.png) the formula displays fine, but when I save it as a .doc and open it in Word, some of the characters don't display (see issue1.png). I have had this problem a long time ago sometimes when exporting to .pdf as well, but have never dealt with it, but it would really help me because I share files with others who use Word, and I don't want to be stuck using equation editor.
