This currently works as designed. Also there is no distinction between the file
formats used for storing documents. The page counter (in status bar and tip on
the scrollbar) will only switch the page number while scrolling when the
previous page has disappeared.
Maybe this can be enhanced a bit. At the moment it works like industry
standard, means all famous Word processors work like this.
