I.e. it mixes the official base-installation with a languagepack that was compiled on a different system, with different compile-switches. Please try with english-ui only. furthermore, I don't know what rpm_unpack expands to. This may be a hack that can introduce errors during unpacking, but it may as well be a proper solution. Even more important is the fact that the ebuild changes the default user-installation directory. - so doing a rm -rf ~/.openoffice.org2 is futile since the ebuild modifies it to ~/.ooo-2.0-pre ## So get rid of the ~/.ooo-2.0-pre directory and all its contents and try again with english-UI - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. It tries/intends to modify it, but it uses # Change user install dir sed -i -e s/.openoffice.org${PV}/.ooo-2.0-pre/g ${D}${INSTDIR}/program/bootstraprc || die with ${PV} being 1.9.122 - the maintainer did not notice that the installation directory has been changed quite a while ago to ~/.openoffice.org2 still the third-party languagepack may conflict with the baseinstallation. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now using the langpack from http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/680m122/ and things work perfectly ! Seems that the langpacks from http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/680/ are kinda broken ... so a simple modification to the ebuild so that it fetches the langpacks from oootranslation.services (when they exist, there are more of them on pavel's mirror) did the trick for me. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I have here the official builds of 680m124. Two suggestions: 1. There was a tempoary build error in m122 2. The config folder .openoffice.org2 in user directory is from an older oo version. Delete it and try again. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To install OpenOffice, I used the openoffice-bin-1.9.122 ebuild provided by Gentoo, which I believe fetches the RPMs from a mirror and the langpack too (french in my case). - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
