These are the steps I take: I Select a word, making sure that it is only the word, with no spaces before or after. I then press CTRL-C for Copy. I move the cursor directly next to the end of another word and press CTRL-V. It invariably puts a space between the last word and the present word. If I place it next to a space after a word, I get two spaces between the two words. I just tried something else - I tried the same thing in WordPerfect and Notepad - no extra space, BUT in MS Word I get an extra space! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=60414 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jan 27 11:43:39 -0800 2006 --- I've tryied to replicate the bug on both my laptop (Windows XP with version 2.0.1 installed) and some Linux machine (RedHat with version 1.0.1 installed) I've tried the following steps: (1) Type in hello world right from beggining of the line (2) highlight the two words (3) paste it back to the same line (and other new lines) However, it didn't seem to me that there has been a redundant white space created in the new line. I also tried such steps in OOffice.presentation, and no redundant white space has been generated either.
