------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Feb 20 12:05:53 -0800 2006 ------- Say you have a document where you want to change all '#'s into a solid-black box from the Wingding fontset (110). 1. Insert Symbol into OO writer 2. select it, CTRL+C 3. Open search (CTRL+F) and paste it in (CTRL+V) 4. First problem: You get a weird dot 5. Replacing works but, because the "Wingdings" font attribute doesn't paste with the character replaced, the result is NOT what I want. Replacing one particular Wingding with another DOES work (even through Search dialog shows BOTH of them as identical 'dots') because the document already has the right font set in the right places. I could not find a workaround - had to convert to WP10 and do it there... I can upload test example, don't have it with me at the moment. Win2000, OO .156, everything else works great. I usually replace the RE '^$' with Wingdings 118 and 'highlight' section names with 117 when I want to "compress" a long list of filenames onto ONE page of paper. Using 4 columns and 7 point size, you can fit a lot of text - e.g., 350 "artist - title" pairs of low-bitrate MP3 tracks on 1 CD - using this "encoding" scheme. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
