------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 6 12:19:04 -0800 2006 ------- for scientific literature that is periodically published in updated editions, numbers for paragraphs are jused more and more, so that references to a specific paragraph will be correct in the next edition, too, since not depending on page numbers. such numbers are written beside (to the outer side of a page of a book) a paragraph, either in the middle of it or at its top. It doesn't necessary mean that each paragraph is counted.
