The text flow in it should behave like a text editor; the automatic line breaks should be recalculated on every change of the window size. Issue 30588 will get obsolete by this here; close it in favour. This solution is much better IMO. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To write formulas in Math is kind of programming them. And for program text automatic line break is bad for many people since the structure originally given (indention, line breaks, etc. ) changes with the windows width. If it need to have automatic line breaking there should at least be an option to control this behaviour. I see your point. But the current behaviour is really not very good. So I agree that a dynamic line break position (calculated after every window resize) that can be switched off optional would be the best solution. Furtheron I think that user-forced line breaks (RETURNS) should be indicated by a character; like in Writer does if Nonprinting Characters is switched on. So the user can differ between forced and automatic line breaks. I think both changes should be implemented together. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This avoids having the whole formula displayed in one line for users who have not set forced line breaks in their formulas. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
